Pragya Parthasarathy is a Research Specialist at DIL. She is currently working on the ongoing water treatment project in Kenya and the adolescent mental health project in Colombia. Her primary research interests are racial and gender inequity, technology and bias, and healthcare. Before joining DIL, Pragya was pursuing a Master’s in International and Development Economics at Yale University, and prior to this, received her undergraduate degree from New York University, where she majored in Economics and minored in Mathematics and Computer Science. Pragya has previously worked at the Courant Institute at NYU, where she focused on systematic bias in prosecutorial decision-making, and the White House, where she focused on healthcare in opportunity zones; she has also received grants focusing on financial literacy for women surviving domestic violence, criminal justice reform, and reproductive healthcare for incarcerated women.
